18th Annual Playa Los Muertos Fishing Tournament 2025

This well-loved sport fishing event will take place on November 7 and 8, with the iconic Los Muertos Pier serving as both the venue and the departure point for participating boats.

Known for its friendly yet competitive atmosphere, the tournament has become a regional tradition. Past editions have awarded prize pools exceeding $100,000 MXN, especially in the highly anticipated dorado fishing category.

More than just a competition, the event also supports a good cause. A portion of the day’s catch is typically donated to local nonprofit organizations, reinforcing the tournament’s commitment to community and social impact.

Registration generally opens one day before the tournament at Deportes Gutiérrez Rizo, a trusted local sporting goods store and favorite among fishing enthusiasts.
