Theater in Puerto Vallarta: La noche de la guirnalda Returns for a Special Performance on July 24
This Thursday, July 24 at 8:00 p.m., the Grupo de Teatro Dionisio brings La noche de la guirnalda back to Puerto Vallarta—a play that offers a sensitive and thoughtful look at the everyday lives of those who live in this port city beyond its tourist image.
The performance will take place at Centro Cultural Plataforma 322, located at Alondra 103, Los Sauces neighborhood.
Written by Samantha Dueñas, Juan Carlos Ramírez, and Juan Pablo Hernández, with dramaturgical development by Oz Jiménez, the play weaves together stories inspired by real experiences, contemporary moments, and the whispered tales passed around the local community.
La noche de la guirnalda raises powerful questions:
What does it mean to live in a tourist destination as a local?
How do family dynamics, local economies, and daily routines unfold amidst the constant flow of visitors?
Recommended for teens and adults, this theatrical experience aims to connect with those who know Vallarta intimately—and those who wish to see it through a different lens.
